 KR gauri Amma the great veteran Communist leader died of old age related sickness. She was the longest serving legisture and oldest women member of Keral Assembly constitution of India. Not only the highest no of victories but also the ablest administrator of Kerala state. She was shifted to a thiruvanathapuram hospital and in the morning 7 a.m of 11 may 2021, her soul left her body.

KR gauri Amma came up as a student activist, participate quit india movement and the first women to pass graduate in law from ezhavat community. Out of the 16 election consteted between 1948 and 2006, she won 13 victory in Kerala state.

She served as ministers in Different portfolios. In 1994 she was expelled from the CPI for anti party activities, And the she founded JSS janathipathiya samrakshana samithy which later on become party of UDF United democratic front.
